Introduction
ESG risks are growing in importance and becoming part of the risk taxonomy of a bank. Therefore, these risks should be identified, measured, managed, monitored, and reported as part of the risk management cycle. Given the potential impact on the viability of an organisation, integration within strategy, governance and risk management are key.
Objectives
As part of the global certification program of the House of Training in Risk Management in banking, this course aims at:
Introducing ESG Risks: what, why, risk driver, double materiality, regulation
Explaining Environmental Risks: climate change, biodiversity, pollution and related topics e.g. GHG emission, transition plan
Explaining Social Risks for different stakeholders (e.g. own workforce, consumers, …) and related topics e.g. human rights, diversity
