Description

Effective risk management has become a critical priority across the entire financial industry. Recognizing this growing need, the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) and the House of Training have jointly developed a comprehensive Risk Management training programme. This programme offers a recognized professional qualification tailored not only for banking professionals, but also for managers and specialists from other areas of financial services who seek to build a strong foundation in risk management.

Programme

The programme consists of eight targeted courses, each designed to build specific knowledge and skills in risk management.

Participants’ understanding and professional competencies are assessed through written examinations based on the content of each course.

To earn the Risk Management for Banks Specialist certification, candidates must complete 10 days of training and successfully pass the exam for each course.

New in 2025: This updated programme includes newly introduced courses, enhancing and expanding the content compared to previous editions.

  • Risk Management - Fundamentals (1 day) -  Under development (including 2-hour elearning access - blended format)

  • Risk Management - Banking Regulatory Environment, Governance and Organisation (1 day) -  Under development

  • Risk Management - Credit Risk for Banks (2 days) -  Under development

  • Risk Management - Market Risk for Banks (1 day) -  Under development

  • Risk Management - Liquidity Risk for Banks (1 day) -  Under development

  • Risk Management - Operational and conduct Risks (2 days) -  Under development

  • Risk Management - ESG (1 day) - Under development

  • Risk Management - Information Security, Data Protection and AI (0.5 day) - Under development

  • Risk Management  - Soft Skills (0.5 day) - Under development

Course Material

Please note that for environmental reasons no paper version of the training material will be provided for your training. The course material can be downloaded free of charge via your portal before the start of the course (download the Client Portal User’s Guide here). You will be able to view it on the screen of your mobile device or print it if necessary. If your registration has been made by a training manager of your company please contact him/her so that he/she can give you access to it or send it to you.

Exams
Optional exams are available for all those seeking to certifiy their experience through recognised certification.
