This course enables you to create advanced measures in DAX within Power BI Desktop by mastering key functions such as CALCULATE, SUMX, RANKX, AVERAGEX, CONCATENATEX, and Time Intelligence functions like TOTALYTD and DATEADD. You will learn to manipulate filter contexts, apply filters on columns or tables (ALL, REMOVEFILTERS, FILTER), and build complex measures tailored to your analytical needs. Through a practical approach, you will develop concrete skills to enhance your reports and dashboards with powerful, dynamic indicators.

Use AVERAGEX, SUMMARIZE and ADDCOLUMNS to create an average of sums by category
Time Intelligence
Calculate Year-to-Date and Quarter-to-Date values (TOTALYTD, TOTALQTD)
Compare a period to the same period one or more year(s), quarter(s) or month(s) earlier (DATEADD)
Compare a period to its parent period – quarter to year, month to year, etc. (PARALLELPERIOD)
Prérequisites
Basic knowledge of Power BI Desktop (basic DAX and creating visuals).
