Introduction

This course is part of the House of Entrepreneurship's BLOOM programme.

Starting a business requires a certain number of management skills and the mastery of financial and regulatory fundamentals. Getting training in advance will allow you to better concentrate on your business afterwards. Beyond technical skills, the evaluation of the entrepreneurial opportunity that underlies your project is crucial, even when your concept seems clear in your mind.
In order to guide you before launching your business, we offer the future entrepreneur a distance learning course, spread over 3 evenings, which will give you the essential elements for the formalisation of a reliable project with financial organisations and will allow you to gather the necessary tools for the daily management of your business.

Led by entrepreneurship professionals with practical and theoretical experience in business creation, this training focuses on practical exercises, feedback and short exercises to concretely assimilate all the fundamental notions mentioned above.
It is also recommended to the entrepreneur to realise a “discovery meeting” (free of charge) with the House of Entrepreneurship in order to validate the current stage of progress and needs.

Objectives

At the end of the training, each participant will be able to:

  • understand the reality of being an entrepreneur and confirm their choices to move forward

  • self-assess the entrepreneurial opportunity arising from their product or service

  • define a fundamental marketing strategy

  • present their business vision in a simplified business plan

  • put in place some simple tools necessary for the daily management of its future activity

Evening 1:  BUSINESS MODEL AND CREATION PROCESS
  • The mindset and skills of the entrepreneur

  • The steps of the creation of a company

  • Clarifying your value proposition

  • Profitability to launch your business: basic equation

POSITIONING THE OFFER ON THE MARKET
  • The buyers’ personas

  • The marketing mix: SWOT and 4Ps, tools to help you make decisions

  • The global communication strategy

Evening 2: INTRODUCTION TO THE BUSINESS PLAN  & PITCH

  • The key points of writing a business plan

  • Drawing up a simplified business plan

  • How to present your project in a few minutes to convince others

INTRODUCTION TO FINANCIAL FORECASTING AND FINANCIAL AID SCHEMES

  • The financial package:

    • Financing plan

    • Income statement

    • Cash flow plan

  • The administrative and accounting organisation of a company: VAT, taxes, balance sheets...

  • Social and fiscal regimes: freelancing vs. company

  • Financiel Aid Schemes

Evening 3: INTRODUCTION TO KEY LEGAL ASPECTS
  • The different legal forms and criteria for choice

  • The responsibility of the manager

  • The main legal documents to know: byelaws, terms and conditions, commercial lease


CLOSING SESSION
  • Debriefing trainers / participants

Prerequisites
  1. Master basic computer tools

  2. Have a laptop (PC or Mac) and an Internet connection

  3. Have a defined business concept

  4. Recommended: have completed a discovery interview with the House of Entrepreneurship

Target audience

Anyone with a business creation project in Luxembourg, wishing to advance intensively, in 100% digital, especially active employees and students, who already have a full-time occupation during the day.

The training material will be handed out at the beginning of the course.

Criteria for registration

Criteria for registration: 

To be admitted to the course, you have to complete 2 obligatory steps:

1 - Have completed a diagnostic interview with the House of Entrepreneurship. Make an appoint at info@houseofentrepreneurship.lu.

2 - Provide with a written confirmation (PDF) from the House of Entrepreneurship certifying that you have been enrolled in the "BLOOM" support programme

Registration and payment must be made online, after creating a customer account. 

Upon receipt and validation of the document, you will be contacted by the House of Training Customer Service department, and will then be able to finalize your registration. A registration confirmation will then be sent to you automatically by e-mail.

Certificate
