Description
Introduction
How can HR teams recognise talent without overlooking candidates who think, communicate or work differently? This practical four-hour workshop explores how neurodiversity, particularly autism and ADHD, can influence recruitment, onboarding and employee retention. Through real examples, an interview simulation and group discussion, participants will identify avoidable barriers and practical ways to make HR processes clearer, fairer and more supportive. No prior knowledge of neurodiversity is required.
Objectives
At the end of the training, participants will be able to:
Explain key concepts of neurodiversity, with a particular focus on autism, ADD/ADHD and dyslexia in the workplace.
Identify potential barriers and bias in interviews and common selection methods.
Suggest practical adjustments to make recruitment and onboarding more accessible.
Recognise workplace factors that may affect neurodivergent employees’ wellbeing and retention.
Identify realistic improvements they can consider in their own HR processes.
