Description

Introduction

Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) have transformed the field of artificial intelligence—both in terms of their applicability to real-world problems and their accessibility to a wider audience.

In this course, we’ll explore what artificial intelligence really is: its capabilities, its limitations, and its impact on our world. We’ll take a brief look at its historical evolution and discover how large language models (LLMs) are making AI more accessible and useful than ever before.

Programme

Introduction

  • General course overview, objectives, and the importance of understanding artificial intelligence today

  • Simple definition, key milestones and major developments in the history of AI

  • Introduction to machine learning with a simple overview of fundamental mathematical concepts

  • Definition and role of large language models (LLMs) in AI

LLMs

  • General presentation of LLMs

  • Simplified explanation of how LLMs work internally

  • Technical limitations and risks associated with language models

  • Application potential of LLMs across various professional fields

  • Introduction to generative AI, its capabilities, and uses
